The estate

Founded in 1130 by the Cistercian monks of the Abbey of La Ferté in Givry, the Domaine du Cellier aux Moines is one of the oldest wine estates in Burgundy. In 2004, it was taken over by Philippe and Catherine Pascal and their three children, all driven by the same objective: to bring the estate back to life. Listed as a Monument Historique, the Cellier aux Moines has been restored over the last ten years with passion and the greatest respect for tradition. This veritable jewel of Burgundy winegrowing now extends over more than 10 hectares, bringing together exceptional Premier Crus from Givry to Puligny-Montrachet.

The vineyard

This Givry Premier Cru stretches across a surface area of over 5 hectres, on a gently sloped hill. Facing due south, the vines are cultivated biodynamically on clay-limestone soils.
