The estate
Located in Nuits-Saint-Georges since 1825, in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, the Domaine Faiveley is among the most renowned estates in Burgundy. Since 2005, the seventh generation, represented by Erwan and Eve Faiveley, has passionately continued the family tradition. With a vineyard spanning over 120 hectares, the estate stands out for its scale and prestige, owning remarkable plots in Grands Crus and Premiers Crus.
The vineyard
Originally based in the Côte de Nuits, Domaine Faiveley has gradually expanded its vineyard into the Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise. Today, it holds 12 Grands Crus and 25 Premiers Crus of Bourgogne, an exceptional heritage. The “Champ Gain” plot, covering 10 hectares, is located just below “La Garenne,” on the heights of the wine-growing slope. Its name refers to the “gain of land from the forest.” Domaine Faiveley has owned it since 2014.
The wine
Es Chezots is a Marsannay wine from a 2.25-acre vineyard, with vines planted in 1970 and 1972 on soils composed of marl, clay, stones, and gravel.
Grape variety
100% Pinot Noir.
