The estate
Established in Nuits-Saint-Georges since 1825, in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, Domaine Faiveley is one of the most renowned estates in Burgundy. Since 2005, the seventh generation, represented by Erwan and Eve Faiveley, has passionately carried on the family tradition. With a vineyard spanning over 120 hectares, the estate stands out for its scale and prestige, owning remarkable plots in Grands Crus and Premiers Crus.
The vineyard
Originally based in the Côte de Nuits, Domaine Faiveley gradually expanded its vineyards into the Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise. Today, it holds 12 Grands Crus and 25 Premiers Crus of Bourgogne, an exceptional heritage. The “Champ Gain” plot, covering 10 hectares, is located just below “La Garenne” on the upper slopes of the vineyard. Its name refers to the “gain of land from the forest.” Domaine Faiveley has owned it since 2014.
The wine
This Mercurey "Vieilles Vignes" comes from a rigorous selection of 20 plots whose vines, over thirty years old, grow on limestone soils. The total area of these vineyards is 27.25 hectares.
Grape variety
100% Pinot Noir.
