The estate
Historically established since 1825 in Nuits-Saint-Georges at the heart of the Côte de Nuits, the Faiveley family leads one of the most beautiful estates in Burgundy. Since 2005, the seventh generation of the family has continued this Burgundy jewel, embodied by two passionate individuals: Erwan Faiveley and his sister, Eve Faiveley. With a vineyard of more than 120 hectares, Domaine Faiveley is one of the largest and most prestigious in Burgundy. Overseeing parcels of exceptional Grands Crus and Premiers Crus, the Faiveley family benefits from a remarkable winegrowing heritage.
The vineyard
While Domaine Faiveley was historically based in Côte de Nuits at Nuits-Saint-Georges, the estate has gradually expanded its vineyards into Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise. Today, Domaine Faiveley owns 12 Grands Crus and 25 Premiers Crus in Burgundy and maintains an exceptional viticultural heritage.
The wine
This "Aux Chaignots" cuvée is a Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru wine from a 72-are plot, with vines planted in 1927, 1965, and 2019, growing on limestone and gravelly soils.
Grape variety
100% Pinot Noir.
