The Estate

The history of Domaine Henri Rebourseau dates back to 1782, when the family settled in La Roche Vanneau. Located at the heart of Burgundy, this historic estate oversees a vineyard spanning 13.5 hectares. A pioneer of organic and biodynamic viticulture, the domaine stands out for its exceptional heritage of grands crus. Today, the Bouygues family, through its holding company SCDM, is the majority shareholder, alongside the historic Surrel family. Under the leadership of Pierre Graffeuille, the domaine continues its legacy, combining tradition with investment to bring out the very best of its terroirs.

The Vineyard

This cuvée comes from the "La Brunelle" climat, a 2.78-hectare monopole located in the commune of Gevrey-Chambertin. Nestled within a highly qualitative alluvial cone, the vines, averaging 33 years of age, thrive on brown soils resting on scree and fragmented limestone, deeply covered with clay and sand. This terroir benefits from a protected microclimate thanks to an extensive enclosure of walls. The vineyard is farmed according to strict biodynamic principles, with carefully controlled yields to ensure optimal berry concentration.

Winemaking and Ageing

Crafted with the utmost respect for the terroir and biodynamic principles, the Gevrey-Chambertin Village "La Brunelle" 2022 undergoes a carefully considered ageing process. The wine matures for about a year in French oak barrels, refining its structure while preserving the brightness of its fruit and its floral purity.
