The Clos de la Roche Grand Cru is located in Morey-Saint-Denis and gets its name from its mainly rocky soil. The 2013 Clos de la Roche Grand Cru from Domaine Faiveley is 100% Pinot Noir and has been aged in French oak barrels.
This wine reveals a ruby tinted deep dark red colour. The nose develops a complex bouquet of jammy fruit aromas enhanced by restrained notes of wood. On the palate, the attack is round and develops strong tannins. The 2013 Clos de la Roche Grand Cru is very complete and also offers an excellent tension on the palate, as well as a certain mineral character. This well-structured, full-bodied and lingering wine is worthy of this renowned Grand Cru. It can be tasted between 2021 and 2025.
