The structure and balance of a Clos Saint-Denis red wine
Historically established since 1825 in Nuits-Saint-Georges in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, Domaine Faiveley is renowned, through its wines that combine finesse and precision, as an essential name among the great Burgundy estates.
The Domaine Faiveley vineyard stretches over a surface area of more than 120 hectares of vines across Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise, three benchmark Burgundy terroirs. This exceptional winegrowing heritage unites superb Grand and Premier Cru plots which embody the quintessence of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
This Grand Cru is a Clos Saint-Denis wine that stems from vines placed halfway up a hill which overlooks the village of Morey-Saint-Denis.
Winemaking and ageing
Ageing over 16 to 18 months in French oak casks in the estate’s vaulted cellars in Nuits-Saint-Georges which date back to the 19th century.
