2014 Corton Grand Cru, Pinot Noir, Burgundy.

The 2014 Corton Grand Cru Clos des Cortons Faiveley Domaine monopole from Domaine Faiveley is composed of Pinot Noir. The wine was aged in French oak barrels in vaulted cellars of the 19th century.
This 2014 reveals an almost black-tinted quite intense red colour. The nose is both strong and concentrated on fruit and wood aromas. On the palate, the 2014 Corton Grand Cru Clos des Cortons Faiveley develops a strong and tannic attack. The firm tannins are blended in the full-bodied texture. This vintage wine offers great volume with supple tannins and a wonderful aromatic persistence. This 2014 can be tasted between 2024 and 2029.

Wine Advocate-Parker :
Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2014 tasting, Faiveley's 2014 Corton Clos des Cortons felt a little simplistic on the nose compared to its peers. Tightly wound cranberry and strawberry fruit, but there is not much in the way of mineralité. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannin, simple red berry fruit laced with dried orange peel and sage, leading to a satisfactory rather than extraordinary finish. Tasted September 2017.
