A refined and complex Tuscan red wine by Tua Rita
The estate
The story begins in 1984 when a couple of wine lovers acquired an estate, which was initially intended to be a place to live and enjoy a close proximity with nature. It soon became a wine estate andTua Rita was born. Over the years, as Tua Rita's wines gained recognition, the estate grew from two hectares to nine, then twenty and now some thirty hectares. Tua Rita has now become an essential reference for Tuscan wines, a major and influential wine region in Italy.
The vineyard
The Tua Rita estate spreads across almost 30 hectares in the Maremma Supérieur (IGT) wine-growing area, in the Val di Cornia, ideally situated between the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Tuscan Metalliferous Mountains.
The wine
Produced since 2000, this Rosso dei Notri wine is made from a terroir composed mainly of clay on the mid-slope plots and pebbles on the higher ones.
Vinification and ageing
The grapes are harvested by hand in 15 kg crates and vinified in steel vats.
The blend
Tua Rita's Rosso dei Notri 2020 comprises a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and Cabernet Franc.
