Bandol is an appellation in the Provenceregion of France. It stretches over 1480 hectares shared by the communes of Bandol, Le Beausset, Le Castellet, La Cadière d’Azur, Ollioules, Saint Cyr-sur-mer, Sainte-Anne d’Evenos and Sanary-sur-mer. The vines of the Bandol appellation are located between the Mediterranean Sea and the Sainte Baume massif, planted on terraces made of marl and limestone. The vines enjoy a Mediterranean microclimate and the Mistral wind, which protects their health. The wines of the Bandol appellation can be either red (predominantly Mourvèdre with Grenache and Cinsault), white (Clairette, Ugni Blanc, Bourboulenc) or rosé (Mourvèdre, Grenache, Cinsault). The reds are powerful, refined and have great character. The whites of Bandol are lively, fresh and harmonious. Finally, the rosés are round, seductive and very generous.
