This prestigious clos of about 50 hectares is today divided between 80 owners, one of which is the house of Bouchard Père & Fils. This Grand Cru from the Côte is on limestone gravel soil and produces a wine that is very smooth with a lot of power. The robe of the 2011 Clos Vougeot Grand Crus Domaine from Bouchard Père & Fils is garnet with hints of purple and brown. The nose of this Burgundy is suave and refined, marked by notes of fruit brandy, like kirsch, orange peel and a longer touch of mocha.
