Bruno Colin : Chassagne-Montrachet 1er cru "La Boudriotte" 2013

Burgundy - Chassagne-Montrachet - White - 13.5° Bruno Colin Bruno Colin 2013 E1079/13
  • Parker : 86-88

2013 Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru, Burgundy.

2013 Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru La Boudriotte of Bruno Colin comes from vines of the Champs Jeandreau plot. Although this wine was aged for 14 months in oak barrels, among which 25% in new barrels, it remains delicate. The bright golden yellow hued 2013 La Boudriotte possesses the aromas, the elegance, and the lightness of the fine Burgundy white wines. On the palate, this Chardonnay offers full body and volume which give it both the possibilities of a good ageing potential and of a quick tasting.

Wine Advocate-Parker :
The 2013 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Boudriotte has more mineralité and delineation than the Morgeot '13 on the nose at the moment - the terroir coming through nice 'n' strong here. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp acidity with nice build in the mouth, but it seems to taper dramatically on the finish, leaving you wanting more. Great start, but it dips before the finish line. Let's see how this is in bottle.
