Leclerc Briant : Vintage Extra Brut 2016

Pale golden yellow, silver reflections, very fine mousse. Floral, a hint of white blossom and lime, yellow plum, plum, some mango. Complex, juicy, firm texture, classically dry and yet with fine apple fruit, mineral and good persistence on the finish, shows length and freshness, good certain ageing potential, a versatile food companion with salty undertones.

Aromas of honey, hazelnut, flint and yeast blossom on the nose. The palate is straight, very long and mouthwatering, supported by noble bitterness, tightening like a bow on the finish.

Still young, this fruity wine is full of white apple and citrus flavors. There are hints of toastiness now, suggesting a fine future. Wait to drink until 2025.
