The 2012 Corton Grand Cru from Domaine Chandon de Briaille is a rare Chardonnay produced from a blend of vines from three parcels. The singular character of this wine lies in the fact that the Chardonnay vines grow on soils that normally favor Pinot Noir agriculture. As a result; this Burgundy reveals fullness with scents of yellow fruits (peach or apricot), and honey. The lack of new wood and beating of the lees bring superb elegance and freshness on the palate.
