Chanson : Santenay 1er cru "Beauregard" Domaine 2022

This vineyard was not really coping with the warming effects of climate change and they have since replanted it with Chardonnay. Cask sample. Lightish purple crimson. Lifted raspberry fruit, ripe and open. And a hint of stone dust. Rich in fruity, smooth but chewily youthful tannins. More flavour than refinement as in many of the Chanson 2022s and again that sweet-sour effect on the finish – ripe fruit and acidity not fully meshed? (JH)
