A fabulous Chateau with a legendary style overlooking the magnificent terroir of Saint-Estèphe, Cos d’Estournel is undeniably one of the legends of the Left Bank of the Bordeaux region.
This 2nd Classified Growth at the origin of the fabulous Saint-Estèphe is also recognised for its great dry white wines produced in Bordeaux Blanc Secs appellation.
Product of a vintage of contrasts, the Cos d'Estournel Blanc 2017 has triumphed as one of the greatest whites of this vintage. The climatic conditions of the year were particularly flattering to the whites, with the fruit achieving a perfect state of maturity and displaying an optimal sugar-acidity balance with an intense aromatic concentration by the time of the harvest.
The blend reveals with brilliance and energy the beautiful and vivacious Sauvignon Blanc (80%), while Sémillon (20%) brings its aromatic opulence to complete the harmonious balance.
The bouquet of this wine is delicately polished by elegant floral fragrances. Through the purity of the fruit, the vintage already reveals a certain soul. Full of energy and very vivacious, the wine wraps the palate with its dense texture, delightfully stretching into an intense finale. One of the greatest white vintages of Cos d'Estournel.

Wine Advocate-Parker :
Cos d'Estournel started making this white wine in 2005 from the Goulée vineyard. The 2017 Blanc is composed of 80% Sauvignon Blanc and 20% Sémillon. It gives beautiful, expressive grapefruit, ripe peach and passion fruit notes with touches of baker's yeast, powdered ginger, nutmeg and beeswax. Medium-bodied, vibrant, racy and with great finesse, it has a very long citrus and tropical fruit-laced finish. With plenty of structure and intensity, it should age reasonably well.
