Chateau de la Maltroye's vineyard, Les Grandes Ruchottes, stretches 2883 SQM (0.71 acres). Chardonnay vines averaging 60 years old grow on the parcel located south of Chassagne. The 2011 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Grandes Ruchottes reveals green-tinted straw hue and a luscious nose with ripe fruits: peach, mango, or quince. This Burgundy is powerful, with lovely mineral structure, and a touch of salt on the finish.
