David Duband's 2013 Gevrey-ChambertinVillage is produced from 65-year old Pinot Noir vines. The vintage displays an intense garnet colour with cherry-red shades. The nose is immediately pleasant with black fruit, spices, and delicate hints of wood. This Burgundyis frank and full, and with a lovely fresh finish.

The 2013 Gevrey-Chambertin Village was showing some reduction on the nose when I tasted it at the domaine. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, light redcurrant and cranberry fruit with a short but fresh finish. Drink this over the next three or four years.
