Description
An aromatic and delicate white wine from Meursault by Albert Grivault
The estate
It is in the heart of the village of Meursault, on the Place du Murger, that the understated Domaine Albert Grivault is located. An essential reference for fine Burgundy wines and owner of the prestigious "Clos des Perrières" since 1879, Domaine Albert Grivault testifies to an exceptional winegrowing heritage. Today, the Albert Grivault estate is run by his descendants and Claire Bardet has been managing the estate since 2004.
Domaine Albert Grivault owns 6 hectares of vines that are located in 6 different appellations, 5 appellations in Meursault and one in Pommard.
The vineyard
The "Clos du Murger" by Domaine Albert Grivault is a Meursault wine that stems from a vineyard planted in 1971 and covering 1.65 hectares.
The name of this wine refers to the term "murger", meaning a wall or pile of stones that is progressively built up by winegrowers from the stones taken from the vineyard over the centuries.
Vinification and ageing
Manual harvesting. The wine is aged in oak barrels.
The blend
This Meursault Village "Clos du Murger" 2018 wine by Domaine Albert Grivault is a 100% Chardonnay.
