The 2011 Pommard 1er Cru Les Jarollieres from Domaine de la Pousse d’Or is a great representative of the terroirs and the appellation. The vintage is produced from a unique parcel stretching over 1.44 hectares (3.55 acres), and bordered with a stone wall on the upper end. The east-facing vineyard lies on rich limestone-clay soil, and is known to produce distinguished Pinot Noir vintage.  This 2011 Pommard 1er Cru reveals an intense colour, followed by pleasant, complex aromas. Spicy notes combined with hints of wood suggest an intense palate. A Burgundy with strong fruits and superb balance.
