The wines produced during this complicated and uncertain 2011 vintage turn out to be pleasant and fine with good balance. It is the proof that this vintage was counterbalanced by the skills of wine-growers, as shows the Premier Cru Volnay En Caillerets from Domaine de la Pousse d'Or. Often round and fruity, they honour their extraordinary terroir. This 2011 vintage was aged on lees, in oak barrels for 15 months. The nose opens up on delicious vanilla aromas. One can detect a beautiful complexity on the palate with numerous flavours and a nice depth.
