Originating from a vineyard of 3.45 hectares in the Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru appellation, the Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru "Aux Perdrix" of the Domaine des Perdrix is a single-varietal Pinot Noir red wine. The vines are planted on clay-limestone soils, which are predominantly clayey. The wine is aged in oak barrels (40% in new barrels) for an average of 15 months. This cuvée is a quasi-monopole of the property (99% of the parcels owned by the Perdrix domain).

With its pretty and bright garnet colour and purplish reflections, the Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru "Aux Perdrix" 2015 of domaine des Perdrix reveals a nose with aromas of fresh fruit, berries (raspberries), sweet spices (cinnamon, nutmeg), along with subtle notes of graphite. On the palate, the acidity is magnificent. The wine offers a splendid tension and a formidable minerality, revealing also, consistent with the nose, tasty touches of grainy red fruits.
