Les 8 Ouvrées of Domaine des Perdrix : a 1er cru Nuits-Saint-Georges with soft tannins
Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les 8 Ouvrées of Domaine des Perdrix is a 100% Pinot Noir red wine produced in the Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru appellation. The name of this cuvée comes from an old unit of measurement in Burgundy. The area of 8 ouvrées equals 4.28 acres. The vines benefit from clay-dominated soils. The ageing of Les 8 Ouvrées is carried out in oak barrels, for 12 to 18 months on average, depending on the year.
At tasting, the Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les 8 Ouvrées 2016 of Domaine des Perdrix presents a dark red colour with purple reflections. The nose reveals floral aromas (peony) and red fruits.
