The complex and rich 2005 Meursault Village du Château from Domaine du Château de Meursault is worthy of the reputation of the Burgundy white wine capital. This cuvee has been made of a Chardonnay vineyard of 4.65 hectares. The specificities of the several climats (vineyard with a specific soil composition and weather conditio) that resulted in this elegant white wine are noticeable: the mineral character of the Grands Charrons, the finesse of the Limozins, the generosity of the Dresolles (associated with the Ormeaux climats), as well as the Sous la Velle and Meix Chavaux terroirs.
This bright yellow Meursault reveals pale golden highlights. The nose opens up on delicate grilled almond, candied orange and mild spices notes. On the palate, the 2005 Meursault Village du Château is round, complex and fresh. The terroir's mineral character enhances this wine produced by Château de Meursault.
