The Mazis Chambertin Grand Cru from Domaine Faiveley gets its name from the small houses called "mazis" once present on the plot. The 2000 vintage is 100% Pinot Noir.
This 2000 Mazis Chambertin is pleasant on the nose, composed of woody, spicy and fruity - mainly red berries - notes. On the palate, this Burgundy wine echoes the nose with an agreeable blend of fruity and woody hints. The tannins are supple and the finish is relatively long. The excellent 2000 Mazis Chambertin Grand Cru is balanced and fine.
