James Suckling

Jim Gordon

Ethereal, silky and refined, this medium-bodied wine is layered and subtle, deep yet agile, with great acidity supporting sweet cherries, cranberries, wild plums and hints of orange zest. It’s expansive and mouth-filling yet somehow light and lifted. What a great wine from a great vintage. Best after 2029.

Jancis Robinson

Delicate parcel that has been helped by climate change – not as wet as it used to be. Cask sample. Racy and lively but leaner than the Chambolle Premier Cru blend. Polished. Quite dry and contained. Not obvious grand-cru weight. (JR)
