The 2012 Meursault Premier Crus Goutte d'Or from the House of Louis Latour is adorned with a lovely and brilliant pale yellow robe. Generous and powerful, the nose releases scents of vanilla and star anise. The palate has a lovely length with hints of toasted wood. Meursault is world-renowned for the excellent quality of its Premier Crus, which are often compared to Grand Crus. The Goutte d'Or plot is named after the flint soil it contains, which have the form and color of gold drops. The Meursault Premier Cru Goutte d'Or was notably the favorite wine of Thomas Jefferson, the American President.
