The Champagne Alfred Gratien 2008 Paradis Brut exhibits an incredible texture: a pale yellow color, very thin slow bubbles and a lovely mousse delicately floating on the surface of the wine.:
Although discreet at first, the nose suggests great freshness. This 2008 Champagne reveals subtle lemon grass and white flower scents -honeysuckle and May lili- then salt and mineral notes, enhanced with white pepper. A warm temperature brings out the vanilla notes. This 2008 vintage is elegant and promising.:
To the palate, the discreet and tender 2008 Paradis Brut Champagne offers a delicate and smooth body. The acidity brings a lovely silky texture while the bubble creates a round ensemble. The finish is also reserved; long and pure.
Wine Advocate-Parker :
The 2008 Cuvée Paradis Brut (L15351, disgorged in 12/2015 with eight grams per liter of dosage) blends 65% Chardonnay with 35% Pinot Noir and offers a deep and intense bouquet of ripe lemon flavors. Very pure and mineral on the palate this is a powerful, but straight, complex and finesse-full Millésime with a long and tension-filled finish. This has great expression and excellent quality, though is still very young.
