The estate

Located at the tip of the Côte des Blancs in Champagne, Maison Duval-Leroy has made it a point of honor since its founding in 1859 to uphold its three core values: protect, perfect, and transmit. Highly committed to ecological practices, Maison Duval-Leroy produces champagnes that fully express their terroir. Elegance, minerality, and brightness define the champagnes of Maison Duval-Leroy, renowned for their great aromatic complexity and structure.

The vineyard

This exceptional champagne is crafted exclusively from grapes sourced from the Grand Cru of Bouzy, located on the Montagne de Reims. The family-owned vines, aged between 35 and 45 years, are planted on this remarkable terroir, recognized for its ability to produce high-quality Pinot Noir.

The vintage

2008 stands out as an exceptional vintage in Champagne, marked by great richness and remarkable freshness, giving rise to bottles of rare depth and complexity.

Winemaking and aging

Femme de Champagne Rosé de Saignée 2008 is born from a short maceration of Pinot Noir grapes, preceded by meticulous sorting and precise destemming of the bunches. Malolactic fermentation is fully carried out, while clarification is done naturally, without any animal or plant fining agents. Having benefited from 17 years of aging, including 15 years on fine lees, this champagne thus reveals exceptional complexity, richness, and finesse.
