The property

Family-owned, the Champagne Franck Bonville House traces its origins back to 1900 with Alfred Bonville who, as a visionary, acquired plots just a few years after the devastation of phylloxera on the Champagne vineyards.

The House experienced significant development after 1945 thanks to Franck Bonville, who expanded the size of the vineyard and started marketing the first cuvées under his name. The third generation, Gilles Bonville and his wife, gradually modernized the winemaking tools from 1970 onwards. After joining his parents in 1996, Olivier Bonville pays increased attention to a vineyard conducted with respect for the environment.

The vineyard

The Pur Avize 2018 cuvée is made from a rigorous selection of grapes planted on 3 grand cru plots (Les Avats, Les Maladries and Les Chapelles) surrounding the village of Avize, recognized as a great Champagne terroir.

Vinification and aging

Alcoholic and malolactic fermentations in thermo-regulated stainless steel tanks. Aging for 5 years under cork in the estate's cellars. The dosage of this 2018 vintage champagne is 3.3 g/L.
