Description
The elegance and creaminess of a vintage Champagne
The estate
Located in Dizy in the Vallée de la Marne, the Champagne Jacquesson House, founded in 1798, was taken over by the Chiquet family in 1974. Jean-Hervé and Laurent Chiquet, two passionate brothers, produce exceptional cuvées through their parcel-based approach and unique philosophy of winemaking and aging, expressing the singular character and richness of these outstanding 28-hectare chalk terroirs.
With its numbered cuvées renowned for their finesse, airy purity, and exceptional aging potential, Jacquesson is among the elite of the great names in Champagne.
The wine
The Dizy Corne Bautray cuvée from Jacquesson comes from a one-hectare vineyard planted in 1960 in the Corne Bautray locality, in the commune of Dizy. Steep, at the top of the slope and facing southwest, this Champagne terroir is set on clay soil with millstone pebbles over Campanian chalk. Its dosage is 0.5 g/L.
Blend
This 2014 vintage Champagne from Jacquesson is 100% Chardonnay.
