Description
A generous and delicate Blanc de Blancs Champagne
The estate
Located in Dizy within the Vallée de la Marne, the Champagne Jacquesson House, founded in 1798, was taken over by the Chiquet family in 1974. Jean-Hervé and Laurent Chiquet, two passionate brothers, craft exceptional cuvées through their parcel-based approach and unique philosophy of vinification and aging, expressing the distinctive character and richness of these outstanding 28-hectare chalk terroirs.
With its numbered cuvées renowned for their finesse, aerial purity, and exceptional aging potential, Jacquesson is among the elite of the great names in Champagne.
The wine
The Avize Champ Caïn 2014 cuvée from Jacquesson is a Blanc de Blancs Champagne produced on a terroir of clay-sandy-silty limestone soils with chalk gravel on Campanian chalk. The total production area is 1.3 hectares. The vineyard was planted in 1962.
Blend
This 2014 vintage Champagne is 100% Chardonnay.
