Description
Jacquesson crafts a fresh and refined Blanc de Blancs Champagne
The estate
Located in Dizy within the Vallée de la Marne, the Champagne Jacquesson House, founded in 1798, was taken over by the Chiquet family in 1974. Jean-Hervé and Laurent Chiquet, two passionate brothers, produce exceptional cuvées through their parcel-based approach and unique philosophy of vinification and aging, expressing the distinctive character and richness of these outstanding 28-hectare chalk terroirs.
With its numbered cuvées renowned for their finesse, airy purity, and remarkable aging potential, Jacquesson is part of the elite among the great names of Champagne.
The wine
The Avize Champ Caïn 2013 cuvée from Jacquesson is a Blanc de Blancs Champagne produced from a terroir composed of clay-sandy-silty limestone soils with chalk gravel on Campanian chalk. The total production area covers 1.3 hectares. The vineyard was planted in 1962.
Blend
This 2013 vintage Champagne is 100% Chardonnay.
