2011 Corton Grand Cru, Pinot Noir, Burgundy

The 2011 Corton Grand Cru from Domaine Chanson is 100% Pinot Noir. The vineyard is located on the hill of Corton, just above Aloxe Corton and Ladoix Sarrigny villages.
The wine displays a beautiful ruby-tinted red colour. The nose gives off floral notes on red and black berries fragrances, mixed with liquorice. The strong wine is ample on a solid structure. The 2011 Corton Grand Cru is complex on a good concentration and reveals a very pure fruit as well as wonderful tannins. The finish remains complex although it also develops a nice persistence.
