The 2009 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Champs Gains from Domaine Chanson is located in the heart of the Puligny-Montrachet 1er Crus near the hamlet of Blagny. This 2009 is 100% Chardonnay.
The wine exhibits a pale gold colour with green highlights. This wine gives off very fresh aromas of yellow fruit, followed by a subtle mineral character and enhanced by a hint of vanilla. On the palate, the mineral attack is marked by candied lemon notes and a rather dense structure. Well-structured on a balanced acidity, the 2009 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Champs Gains reveals a long and generous finish.
