The 2009 Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru Les Chenevottes of Chateau de la Maltroye is a pure Chardonnay from a vineyard of 0.6 hectares of 55 year old vines, aged in oak barrels for 12 months. The straw-tinted yellow 2009 Les Chenevottes is an elegant and airy wine. The nose reveals brioche and toasted aromas, but also fresh fruits such as lemon or peach. On the palate, it offers finesse, a good density with a pleasant mineral structure.
