2012 Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru, Chardonnay, Burgundy.
The 2012 Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru Les Chenevottes of Chateau de la Maltroye displays a green-tinted straw colour. The wine reveals fruity aromas of peach, pear and lemon, followed by more floral notes of iris, but a chalky mineral hint. On the palate, it is fresh and bold, with more buttery notes typical of the Chardonnay. The 2012 Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru Les Chenevottes comes from a vineyard of 0.26 hectares of 55 years old Chardonnay vines, aged in oak barrels for 12 months.
