The Combe d'Orveau plot probably gets its name from its location at the top of a valley and from its southern orientation: Orveau or Val d'Or (Golden valley). The 2014 Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru La Combe d'Orveau of Domaine Faiveley is pure Pinot Noir.
This bright garnet 2014 wine gives off very pleasant wood and fruit notes. On the palate, grilled and fruity notes echo the nose, such as well-matured cherry nicely blended in an excellent tannic structure. The 2014 Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru La Combe d'Orveau is elegant, fine and distinguished.
