Description
2013 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru (Chardonnay)
Domaine Faiveley’s 2013 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot is a single-grape Chardonnay. The appellation terroirs are located next to the Morgeot abby. During the Medieval period, the vineyard was the property of Maiziere abby, which planted vines on the land and built farm buildings.
This 2013 Burgundy wine reveals a very pale yellow as well as a complex nose with a delicate mix of flowers and wooden scents. Great structure on the palate, with round attack and very precise sharpness which counters the sweet sensation as well as the thickness from wood maturation. The 2013 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot is rich, with remarkable persistence. Can be enjoyed between 2017 and 2019.
