The only one of four Grand Crus in the southern Côte de Beaune totally located in the municipality of Chassagne-Montrachet, Criots-Bâtard-Montrachet extends 1.57 hectares. It is on a gravel and limestone that grows Chardonnay from Maison Louis Latour, its equal is among the best white wines in the world. The 2012 Criots-Bâtard-Montrachet is adorned with a lovely pale yellow robe tinged with gold. The nose gives of complex aromas of white fruit associated with notes of vanilla. On the palate, the wine is all finesse with a lovely slightly menthol finish. This is a very nice, very promising wine.
