2006 Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru, pure Chardonnay, Burgundy.
This wine is made from Chardonnay vines lying on a terroir composed of calcareous brown forest soils. The 2006 Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru Champgains of Louis Latour exhibits a very pale colour with green highlights. The nose reveals a restrained bouquet of white flower and gunflint fragrances. On the palate, the 2006 Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru Champgains is a fresh wine which well-expresses the mineral aspect of fine Chardonnays. This Burgundy wine has a great ageing potential.
