William Fèvre : Chablis Grand cru "Bougros" Domaine 2013

The 2013 Chablis Grand Cru Bougros has a slightly backward, austere, wet-pavement nose that never really gets out of second gear. The palate is balanced, with good salinity, plenty of fresh Conference pear and Granny Smith apple notes, all carried by a fine seam of acidity. The finish is a little foursquare and lacks some persistence. Not bad, but the other 2013 Grands Crus are better.

White fruit profile, fine tension on the palate, harmonious and indulgent, approachable fairly quickly.
