Description
The complexity and refinement of a Brut Champagne by Armand de Brignac
The estate
Heirs to 250 years of winemaking history, Jean-Jacques Cattier and his son, Alexandre, are the artisans behind the cuvées of the Champagne House Armand de Brignac. Imagined by André Courrèges, the bottles of the estate’s cuvées stand out for their bold design, remarkable proportions, and the iconic Ace of Spades engraved on a label made of French pewter.
Every day, only about twenty bottles are meticulously handcrafted, reflecting the estate’s artisanal approach.
The vineyard
Armand de Brignac cuvées are crafted from HVE 3 certified vineyards planted on prestigious crus of Champagne within the Montagne de Reims (Rilly-la-Montagne, Chigny-les-Roses, Ludes).
The wine
Brut Green Edition by Armand de Brignac is a cuvée commemorating the Masters Golf Tournament, also known as The Masters, one of the four major international golf tournaments. The green color of the bottle echoes the color of the jacket awarded each year since 1949 to the winner of this iconic tournament.
This modern luxury champagne is housed in an opaque bottle covered with a layer of gold-reflective metal. The bottle features a French pewter label, meticulously applied by hand, highlighting the “Ace of Spades,” the brand’s iconic symbol.
Vinification and aging
Hand harvesting. Only the Cuvée is kept for the making of this champagne to develop a smooth texture and balanced acidity. During disgorgement, the addition of a liqueur de tirage made from the finest base wine of the harvest, aged for 1 year in French oak barrels, brings delicious complexity with pastry, toasted, and vanilla notes.
Blend
Pinot noir (40%)
Chardonnay (40%)
Pinot meunier (20%)
