Characteristics and Tasting Tips for the PN TX20 Blanc de Noirs Brut de Bollinger
Tasting
Color
The Color displays a golden yellow hue enhanced by subtle golden reflections.
Nose
The bouquet reveals a fresh and complex aromatic palette, featuring bright citrus notes led by lemon, accompanied by white-fleshed fruits such as peach and quince. The ensemble is rounded out by mineral nuances evoking flint.
Palate
The attack on the Palate is marked by slightly tart redcurrant flavors. The palate then unfolds a beautiful length and remarkable depth, revealing pronounced vinosity punctuated by compote-like fruit nuances. The finish stands out for its breadth and refinement.
Food and Wine Pairings
This Champagne pairs perfectly with refined dishes such as Armoricaine-style lobster served with pineapple tomatoes and a turnip purée with leek whites. It also elevates rosemary-roasted guinea fowl accompanied by a sage-reduced jus and white carrots confit in butter and sumac. For cheese lovers, it deliciously complements a white truffle pecorino served with seeded bread and an arugula salad with Piedmont hazelnuts.
Service and Aging
The PN TX20 Blanc de Noirs Brut is best enjoyed at a temperature between 10 and 11 °C. It should be opened carefully and served chilled. This Champagne can be enjoyed now or cellared for long-term aging.
The minerality and richness of an exceptional Blanc de Noirs Champagne by Bollinger
The Estate
Founded in 1829 in Aÿ by Jacques Joseph Bollinger, the House of Champagne Bollinger remains one of the last great family-owned houses. Now led by Charles-Armand de Belenet, the House is distinguished by its powerful style dominated by Pinot Noir and the legacy of Elisabeth Bollinger, who managed the estate from 1941 to 1971.
The Vineyard
This cuvée PN TX20 Blanc de Noirs Brut draws its uniqueness from the exceptional terroirs of the Montagne de Reims, primarily Tauxières, which brings freshness and elegance. The vineyards of Aÿ and Avenay complete this blend, offering the complexity and depth characteristic of Champagne grands crus. This non-vintage cuvée is based on a 2020 foundation enriched by over 25% reserve wines from the 2008 and 2012 vintages. The final composition comprises 48% wine of the year and 52% reserve wines, creating a blend of remarkable complexity that transcends the years. Its dosage level is 8 g/L.
Winemaking and aging
The PN TX20 Blanc de Noirs Brut benefits from exceptional maturation, more than twice the aging required by the Champagne appellation. This approach allows the wine to fully develop its aromatic complexity and structure, revealing all the nobility of Champagne Pinot Noir.
Blend
This Blanc de Noirs Champagne is made exclusively from Pinot Noir.
