50% Pinot Noir, 36% Chardonnay, 14% Pinot Meunier (highest proportion of Pinot Noir since 1996), from predominantly grand and premier crus. Aged for seven years on the lees. Dosage 5 g/l. Disgorged January 2017. Mytik Diam technological cork closure. Tasted blind. A certain amount of tension on the nose. Pear juice and round and satiny. Quite similar in quality to the other vintage of Moët tasted alongside [the 2008]. Long. Rich. But chewy on the end. More obvious acidity [than the 2008]. (JR)

Taking advantage of the natural richness of this vintage, this wine is ripe and soft, hinting at yeastiness as well as retaining plenty of attractive acidity. This balanced wine is powerfully rich and ready to drink now.
