A Rosé Champagne Rich in Depth and Structure
The estate
The House of Champagne Moët & Chandon was founded in 1743 under the impetus of Claude Moët, a forward-thinking merchant who swiftly raised the establishment to the ranks of the essential houses at the royal courts of Europe. His grandson, Jean-Rémy Moët, then took over and extended the House's renown well beyond the French borders.
It was Jean-Rémy Moët who created the House's flagship cuvée, Moët Impérial, as a tribute to Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte. A regular guest at the estate, Napoleon is said to have popularised the tradition of sabrage with his soldiers, celebrating their victories with bottles of Moët & Chandon.
Having joined the LVMH group in 1987, the House continues to craft, from a refined selection of Champagne terroirs, exceptional cuvées recognised around the world for their excellence and their captivating character.
The cuvée
For the festive season, Moët & Chandon unveils a new collection dressing its iconic Brut Impérial Rosé bottle with a textured bow, an elegant nod to the famous black tie that has adorned the House since 1886.
Blend
This rosé champagne from Moët & Chandon is born from a blend of Pinot Noir (40 to 50%), including 10% red wine, Pinot Meunier (30 to 40%), including 10% red wine, and Chardonnay (10 to 20%), with 20 to 30% reserve wines specially selected to enhance its intensity and subtlety.
