Ruinart : Second Skin Brut Rosé

A gourmet, fresh and elegant champagne wine in a sustainable envelope

The estate

Ruinart, the first Champagne House founded in 1729, is located in the heart of Reims. Elegance, style and timelessness are part of the Ruinart Champagne House’s very DNA. Regarded as one of the most valued brands in France, Ruinart embodies the excellence of the French ‘’art de vivre’’ in all four corners of the world.

The wine

Following over two years of research and development, the Ruinart Champagne House unveils its new case: Ruinart Second Skin. An sustainable alternative to boxes, Ruinart’s Second Skin is a 100% paper envelope, entirely recyclable and molded to the shape of the bottle. This Second Skin, whose colour and texture are inspired by the House's historical chalk quarries, enhances the curves of the bottle. Driven by the desire to pursue their activism towards improving tomorrow’s environmental challenges, the Ruinart Champagne House has successfully combined aestheticism, authenticity and responsibility.

The blend

Ruinart Rosé is a wine from the Champagne region and comprises a blend of 55% Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims and the Vallée de la Marne and 45% Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs and the Montagne de Reims, 20 to 25% reserve wines from the last two years are added to the blend.

Ruinart's Second Skin Brut Rosé: Characteristics and tasting tips

The tasting

Pomegranate-coloured with orange reflections, the Ruinart Rosé champagne has a lively and very light effervescence, with an extremely persistent stream of bubbles.

The nose exudes a combination of subtlety and freshness, opening up to aromas of exotic fruits and small red fruits, before revealing fine notes of roses and pomegranates which complete the complexity and sublime intensity of this champagne.

On the palate, Ruinart’s Brut Rosé champagne reveals a sharp attack, offering flavours of crunchy red fruits, as well as a delightful balance. This Ruinart Rosé champagne is delicious and fresh and leads up to an elegant and lively finish combining hints of mint and citrus fruits.
