Description

A refined and fruity Rosé champagne

The estate

The history of the Taittinger Champagne House began in the early 20th century. Ran by Pierre-Emmanuel Taittinger and his two children, Clovis and Vitalie, the Taittinger House has managed to preserve its family spirit by producing champagnes that are resolutely Chardonnay in style. Since January 1st 2020, Vitalie Taittinger is the President of the Taittinger Champagne House.

The vineyard

The vineyards owned by the Taittinger Champagne House spread across 288 hectares of vines and include 37 different crus. This makes Taittinger the third largest vineyard in Champagne. The entire vineyard bears a High Environmental Value certificate.

The blend

Taittinger’s Prestige Rosé comprises a blend of Chardonnay (30%) and Pinot Noir (70%) from the Montagne de Reims and Les Riceys regions, 15% of the juice is vinified as red wine and completes the blend.

The tasting

Colour

The colour of Prestige Rosé by Taittinger is an intense pink, with fine bubbles forming a sustained foam.

Nose

On the nose, this champagne reveals its complex bouquet, characterised by its freshness and youth. Fresh and crisp red fruit aromas are revealed through notes of cherry, fresh raspberry and blackcurrant.

Palate

On the palate, Prestige Rosé by Taittinger expresses a surprising intensity and richness of fruit, all underlined by a great freshness.

Food and wine pairing

Enjoy as an aperitif, Taittinger’s Prestige Rosé is also ideal with fruity desserts (tart, salad, red fruit gratin).
