2013 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru (Pinot Noir)
Aux Chaignots refers to oak tree (called chasne in old French) woods, which no longer exist. Domaine Faiveley's 2013 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Chaignots is 100% Pinot Noir -the leading grape variety of the region.
The Burgundy vintage reveals a lovely dark-ruby hue. The nose opens-up to red fruits paired with empyreumatic notes. The palate is thick yet supple, and offers superb balance between finesse and power. Blended tannins add lovely harmony: to be enjoyed between 2021 and 2025.
