The property

Founded in 1923 following the action of Abbé Balitrand, the cooperative cellar La Chablisienne is the most important producer of Chablis wines. From Petit Chablis, to Chablis through Chablis Premiers Crus and Chablis Grands Crus not forgetting the cuvées of the mythical Château Grenouille, La Chablisienne produces about thirty different cuvées and crus that allow lovers of great Burgundy wines to discover the multiple personalities of Chablis wines.

The vineyard

The cuvée "La Sereine" 2019 from La Chablisienne is a Chablis wine, an essential Burgundy terroir, from vineyards spread over all the communes of the appellation. The name of this cuvée refers to the river Le Serein. Averaging 30 years old, the vines are planted on Kimmeridgian clay-limestone soils.

The vintage

The 2019 vintage in Chablis was marked by favorable climatic conditions, with a mild winter followed by a warm and dry spring, allowing for early and homogeneous flowering. The harvest took place under sunny weather and yielded healthy and ripe grapes, producing balanced, fruity and elegant white wines, with a nice acidity and a good aging potential.

Vinification and aging

Static settling at cold temperatures. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentations are carried out in vats. This Chablis Village benefits from an aging of about 12 months on fine lees, in vats and barrels.
